Getting Started in Kaiju Universe

Kaiju Universe on Roblox drops you into city-scale destruction as a giant monster. This getting started guide is for your first hours with Prometeo Games’ sandbox PvP fighter: what to click, what to farm, what not to buy yet, and which wiki pages to open next.

What the game actually is

You pick a kaiju, spawn into a map, smash buildings, fight other players and AI threats, complete missions, earn G-Cells and XP, then unlock stronger monsters and invest skill points. Servers are online multiplayer — expect contested cities, opportunistic duels, and players who ignore you until you look like free XP.

Post-DMCA roster naming prefers originals such as Dredger, Reisserax, Strykarech, Kumora, Zaratan, and Aglacius. Older nicknames still appear in community chat; this wiki leads with current names.

First ten minutes checklist

1. Join from the Roblox game page and wait for the kaiju select menu.
2. Pick a simple starter (see Best Starter Kaiju) instead of forcing an expensive icon you cannot yet afford.
3. Open settings later for codes — check the Codes Hub when you have a quiet moment.
4. Join the Prometeo Games Roblox group when you can; group membership is the usual path to a free kaiju unlock.
5. Spawn, learn movement with the Controls page open on a second screen if needed.
6. Destroy buildings until you understand hit feedback, then look for missions for better G-Cell returns.

Core systems you must understand early

XP and levels track per kaiju. Most monsters go to level 100, then plus levels. You receive a skill point every five levels. Do not ignore allocation — see How to Level Up and Skill Points Builds.

Unlocks are not only price tags. Some kaiju need another monster at a certain level or other requirements. Preview costs in Unlock Requirements and the process in How to Unlock Kaiju.

Maps change what you farm. Prometia, Florida/NY, Costa Sierpe, and Tokyo each have different denseness and fight traffic. Read Maps and Cities before you commit to a long session on a barren edge of the world.

Controls snapshot (memorize these)

• WASD — move
• 1–5 — attacks
• Shift — run / fly
• Q / E — vertical fly or swim adjust
• R / T — roar
• Ctrl — control lock
• Space — jump

First-session goals that actually matter

Do not set “unlock everything” as a night-one goal. Use goals you can finish:

• Learn your starter’s 1–5 kit and both roars.
• Complete available missions once instead of half-finishing three.
• Reach the first skill point breakpoints (levels 5 and 10) and place points with intent.
• Bank G-Cells toward a planned unlock instead of impulse buys.
• Survive a few player encounters without panic-spamming every attack.

A clean session often looks like: missions first, dense city second, one duel only when your cooldowns and health are ready. That loop feeds both currency and XP better than endless random wandering.

Skill points without overthinking

Every five levels you get one point for Damage, Health, Regen, or Speed. Beginners usually benefit from a mix that keeps them alive long enough to spend their kit: Health or Regen early, then Damage once you stop dying to chip trades. Pure Speed before you understand spacing often just helps you die faster in the wrong place. Frameworks live in Skill Points Builds and Skill Point Planner.

Naming, meta, and expectations

Expect other players to be stronger, richer, or simply better practiced. Dying is normal. Treat each death as a short review: Did you enter with low health? Did you waste 1–5 out of range? Did you ignore vertical escape with Q/E?

Common beginner mistakes

• Buying a pricey kaiju before learning mission routines.
• Dumping every skill point into one stat with no plan.
• Ignoring group unlock value.
• Fighting every player who walks by while missions are unfinished.
• Farming empty outskirts when a denser city block is one flight away.
• Skipping Controls and blaming the kaiju for missed inputs.
