Islands Guide

The world of Kaiju Universe is divided across seven major islands, each with distinct geography, city density, and strategic value. This guide covers every island in size order and explains which ones reward farmers, which challenge fighters, and how to move between them efficiently. Use this page alongside Maps and Cities for detailed city-level breakdowns.

All 7 islands by size

The islands in order of size are: Pirate Island, Arctic, Atlas, Costa Sierpe, Tokyo, Prometia, and New York. Some islands feature destroyable cities that reward G-Cells and XP when you smash buildings. Others are primarily terrain and NPC zones with less structured gameplay.

Pirate Island (largest)

Pirate Island - formerly known as Skull Island - is the largest of the seven major islands. The island is surrounded almost entirely by a rocky cliff, with a gigantic sea entrance decorated with a skull. The interior consists of many smaller rocky mountains.

Getting in: The primary entrance is through a tall entrance hole in the cliff that lets water flow in, creating a dramatic entry point.

Play tips:

  • Use the coastal entrance for dramatic arrivals with height advantage
  • Rocky interior provides natural cover but limits large-scale destruction farming
  • Best suited for players who enjoy terrain navigation over structured city grinding
  • Combine with coastal water routes for fast traversal

Arctic

The Arctic island is one of the seven major locations, adapted to cold regions. It features sparse terrain and minimal city density compared to coastal alternatives.

Play tips:

  • Lower destruction value per minute than city-heavy islands
  • Good for players who want quieter sessions away from crowded farming zones
  • Cold region aesthetic - unique atmosphere compared to tropical islands
  • May contain low-level passive NPCs useful for very early新手 training

Atlas (formerly Birth Island)

Atlas - formerly called Birth Island - is the third largest island and the most popular non-city-based island due to its size, close proximity to popular cities, and presence of passive low-level NPCs.

Play tips:

  • Ideal for players who want to avoid intense city grinding
  • Passive NPCs make it a good transition zone for new accounts
  • Close to city clusters on other islands - useful as a travel hub
  • Less G-Cell density but more peaceful for learning controls

Costa Sierpe

Costa Sierpe mixes land and water environments. It is one of the most versatile maps for players who have learned vertical movement with Q/E and want to practice swim mechanics.

Play tips:

  • Primary water map - essential for water-capable kaiju like Zaratan and Aglacius
  • Decide whether your route is shoreline destruction or inland clusters before committing
  • Do not enter water fights at low health unless your kit shines underwater
  • Use the map to practice disengages for PvP Combat without Tokyo’s chaos density
  • After Map Redux, new sightlines and coastal geometry may affect how destruction routes feel

Tokyo

Tokyo is the headline traffic magnet on many servers: great for player-oriented missions, dangerous for underleveled farmers carrying unfinished objectives. Tokyo features dense city clusters with excellent G-Cell potential.

Play tips:

  • Enter with a PvP-aware build (Damage/Health lean)
  • Clear a mission stack quickly, then decide whether to stay for fights
  • Assume third parties. Finish or leave; do not linger at low HP as a spectacle
  • Cross-check whether your kaiju is willing to contest via PvP Meta
  • Best for experienced players or those with completed mission stacks

Prometia

Prometia remains a generalist sandbox home, now on remade geometry after Map Redux. It features destroyable structures and open space to practice flight paths.

Play tips:

  • Chart a loop of dense blocks instead of zigzagging randomly
  • Use Shift flight to skip empty lots
  • Practice control lock (Ctrl) here before hotter maps punish mistimed faces
  • Good for early skill point breakpoints (every five levels) while following Skill Points Builds

New York

New York - listed alongside Florida as a combined style - is one of the seven major islands with tall city clusters and street grids that produce excellent G-Cell and XP per minute if your 1–5 string clears efficiently.

Play tips:

  • Work block by block; finishing a district beats peppering three neighborhoods
  • Watch avenues for long-range PvP approaches
  • When contested, vertical escape with Q/E often beats running down a straight boulevard
  • Often the “clock in and grind” map for players saving toward an unlock

How to travel between islands

Movement between islands typically uses:

  • Swimming for water-capable kaiju (Zaratan, Aglacius)
  • Flight with Shift for aerial kaiju (Strykarech)
  • Coastal routes for mixed-terrain kaiju

Before Map Redux, route muscle memory may be outdated. Re-learn sightlines after 6.37.0 changes.

Island farming优先级

For G-Cell efficiency:

  1. Tokyo - highest density, highest traffic risk
  2. Florida/NY - strong density, more predictable than Tokyo
  3. Prometia - good baseline, less chaotic
  4. Costa Sierpe - water routes, slower for non-water kaiju
  5. Pirate Island - large but rocky, moderate farming value
  6. Atlas - low density, good for quiet sessions
  7. Arctic - lowest density, primarily atmosphere
